Multiple police, fire and ambulance vehicles have raced to the scene in Sydney’s central business district amid reports of a stabbing.
NSW Police said a “police operation” was underway near King and Clarence Streets in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
“Please avoid the area,” the force said on Twitter.
Unconfirmed reports on Twitter suggest a man may have randomly stabbed people on the street.
SYDNEY CBD: Traffic is heavy at King & Clarenece Sts due to a police operation. Avoid the area and use an alternative route.
