Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says coronavirus restrictions will ease early across the state lifting from 6:00am tomorrow.
That means masks won’t need to be carried at all times but people are encouraged to wear them in crowded spaces.
Visitor restrictions on hospitals, aged-care centres, prisons and disability accommodation will also lift.
Queensland has recorded two cases of coronavirus overnight.
The cases were acquired in Papua New Guinea and detected in returned travellers in hotel quarantine.
There are 51 active cases in the state and 8,246 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
