The Israel-Palestine ceasefire has broken, with Israel launching air strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military reportedly confirmed hitting several targets it claimed were housing “Hamas operatives”.
It came after Israel said incendiary balloons had been launched from Gaza on Wednesday (Australian time).
The Israeli fire brigade said the balloons sparked at least 20 blazes in open fields in communities near the divided frontier.

Earlier, a Hamas radio station said an Israeli aircraft attacked a Palestinian training camp in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
They were the first confirmed Israeli strikes in the enclave since a ceasefire ended 11 days of cross-border fighting in May.
The May 21 truce came after air strikes and rocket fire killed at least 232 Palestinians, including 65 children, and 12 people in Israel.
Hamas had threatened to take action in response to an Israeli nationalist march on Tuesday through East Jerusalem.
Israel’s new prime minister, Naftali Bennett, has said in the past that the Israeli government should not tolerate incendiary balloons, and must retaliate as if Hamas had fired rockets into Israel.
